12/17/2023 0 Comments Handy note legion treasures![]() Luckily, Blizzard has seen fit to throw us a bone and help us out.Īs you are probably aware, each of the five new zones in Legion have their own factions associated with them that allow you to build reputation and purchase items. The issue lies in the fact that chests aren’t always easy to find and the purple aura they emanate isn’t generally enough to catch your eye. More often than not, chests end up yielding fairly substantial rewards, such as Order Resources, Artifact Power, and a very solid amount of gold, all at the cost of just a single click. I have no idea how this happens, of course.Treasure chest farming in The Broken Isles can be an incredibly lucrative business in World of Warcraft: Legion. I know other tool tips seem to have a clue where they are relative to the edge of the client, and position themselves so they're further into the window. In any case, it showed up over the minimap tool tip, and right now I'm not sure if it stayed long enough that hte minimap blinked out before it finally faded, or I was twitching my hand trying to figure out what was going on and thus it left cause I was no longer hovering over the icon. Also, I had installed it after I got out of WoW the previous time, and had honestly forgotten about it. I realize I could change the fadeout time, but this was the first time your addon had shown up, and I hadn't realized what it would do or look like. Unfortunately, it took me 5 tries to figure out what was going on, cause the tooltip from Rares Tip was right at the top edge of my game client window (I haven't moved hte minimap elsewhere), was in small type, and faded out fast. I hovered over the Pale Elixir marker, and got the full tooltip for Pale Elixir. I was at the ?Shadow Valley? where there are two treasures, the Pale Elixir and Pokhar's Thirteenth Axe. The first time I logged in after downloading Rares Tip, I was in Nagrand, having gotten the Nagrand Treasure Map from a follower mission. I mean the default one that blizz puts up - it's the same as the one that shows for the cache right outside your town hall. ![]() Will look into it again, thanks for reporting this! When I mouse over the garrison resource items on the *minimap* ĭo you mean the treasure markers from DraenorTreasures? To find Draenor's rare NPCs and objects, I recommend HandyNotes_DraenorTreasures I'm very open to suggestions what else could be added ![]() RaresTip will show when you already have defeated a rare (today)Īlso still in: Pandaria rares, including Zandalari Warbringers (to help identify which mount they can drop) and some other NPCs, mostly from Pandaria, that drop interesting items. Rares at level 100 usually have a lower chance to drop their unique item, but can be killed once per day. Options are on the way! (I just suck at XML)ĭraenor rares below level 100 drop their items with a 100% chance on the first kill, afterwards they are normal enemies. Timeless Isle rares often have secondary drops as well, shown in a shortened secondary tooltip.īy default, tooltips fade after being shown, unless the item is still required for an achievement. As you mouse over an NPC, an additional tooltip for the item is shown. This addon is intended to help you remember which NPC drops which unique item. Mists of Pandaria added several rare enemies that drop unique items, and 5.4's Timeless Isle continued that with countless more. This addon was inspired by and uses code derived from SymbiosisTip by Wildbreath.
